Non-Profit Spotlight: Take Action Realty Partners with BBBSNEW to Support Youth
At Take Action Realty Group, we believe in the power of community and the importance of giving back. That’s why we are thrilled to shine a spotlight on our Non-Profit of the Month, Big Brother’s Big Sister’s of NE Wisconsin (BBBSNEW), and our partnership dedicated to supporting youth.
Throughout the year, we’ve had the honor of supporting BBBSNEW’s incredible work and witnessing firsthand the impact they have on the lives of young people in our area.
Recently, BBBSNEW hosted two remarkable events that exemplify their commitment to making a difference here in Northeast Wisconsin!
BIG Draft Event: The culmination of The Big Draft Campaign for 2024 was nothing short of inspiring. Together with Big Brothers Big Sisters of East Central Wisconsin, BBBSNEW recruited an impressive 82 NEW BIGS to serve youth across Wisconsin. We were grateful to support this initiative by hosting a Draft Party. The evening was filled with games, delicious food, and even a special appearance from Packers QB Sean Clifford! Give Big Green Bay: This 24-hour giving event has become a cornerstone of our community, providing vital support to numerous local non-profit groups. Take Action Realty played a pivotal role by generously offering our newly renovated event space to host BBBSNEW’s Dunk Tank party, contributing to the fundraising efforts of Give BIG Green Bay. We extend a BIG thank you to everyone who donated to this year’s event. The atmosphere was electric as participants raised funds, creating lasting memories. We also want to express our heartfelt gratitude to our entire team for their dedicated support in organizing the event. Their commitment truly made the day one to remember.
In this collaboration, we had a blast at the draft night party alongside BBBSNEW, with Green Bay Packers quarterback Sean Clifford joining in the festivities and adding to the excitement of the event. Notably, former Green Bay Packers players Kevin Barry, who is also a Take Action Realtor, and Chris Francies, were also in attendance, further enhancing the excitement of the occasion.
This unique celebration marked a successful recruitment effort, with BBBSNEW adding 57 new adult mentors to their programs, significantly reducing their waiting list of children seeking mentorship.
In the words of Keren Cotter, Program Specialist & Recruitment Manager at BBBSNEW: “Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northeast Wisconsin is on a mission to provide mentors to over 580 children this year alone, and we know that we cannot do it alone! Community partners like Take Action Realty Group help us provide fun experiences for Bigs and Littles and support our fundraising goals. Working together, we can have a big impact in our local community!”
Thanks to the efforts of everyone involved, it was a tremendously successful and fun day for everyone.
